Patriotic Magnetic Vertex Rollerball Pen
Patriotic Kirinite has beautiful shimmer mixed into the blue color. The magnetic cap has just the right amount of magnetic attaction and posts without the need for threads. The bright, polished chrome is a perfect companion to the red, white and blue colors. The rollerball is super smooth and writes beautifully. The kirinite acrylic was hand-turned on a wood lathe to the desired shape, sanded to 12,000 grit, and polished to give it a beautiful glossy finish. Handcrafted Deer Antler. The highly polished chrome patriotic design features a red, white and blue clip with an American flag and handsomely cast Bald Eagle emblem. The pen end features a laurel leaf, a symbol of victory and a popular motif in the Federal style of architecture. The pen top features an etched USA and laurel leaf stamp. Also, on the tip and end are Doric column influenced designs, which appear on many American government buildings and monuments. Finally, God Bless America is intricately etched into the pen band.

God Bless America. This is what is etched on the center band. This reminds me of the song, God Bless the U.S.A., by Lee Greenwood which was my favorite song while serving in Desert Storm. This pen has many elements to remind us to never forget how lucky we are to live in a free country! The clip has the stripes and stars from the flag, and is topped with our bald eagle. The end has U.S.A. etched in it and a border of laurel leaves. All of the pen elements are chrome. I made the barrels out of polymer clay which is wrapped around metal tubes. The technique I used was faux leather complete with "stitching".
